Built with React and Redux, and powered by an extensive culinary API, the application features a refined editorial aesthetic with a warm parchment and terracotta color system, sleek glassmorphic badges, interactive category filter carousels, and responsive Bento Grid layouts for an immersive culinary experience on both desktop and mobile devices.
Challenges & Solutions
A primary engineering and UI/UX challenge during the 2026 refactoring was modernizing a legacy React/Redux codebase without breaking existing state workflows, while transforming the UI into a responsive, editorial Bento Grid experience. We resolved this by systematically restructuring CSS design tokens, introducing mobile-first touch targets and accessible interactive carousels, and ensuring smooth state transitions across high-volume recipe data.
